Thanks to f**kyeahlighting for the link!
Just saw this photo in a great blog post from LeapFrog Lighting. This is a Los Angeles street before (left) and after an LED change-over. I definitely prefer one over the other. What about you?
Philips is a massive, behemoth of a lighting company. Lots of pros and cons come with that, but I will say that they do a lot of work in disadvantaged areas of the world. Here’s something they did in Vietnam.
Also shows how much we take artificial light for granted!
Famous Disney animator Glen Keane just released an animated short that is pretty much just painted light. Amazing.
What do you get when you cover a train car with thousands of LED christmas lights and then take some cool photos?
AWESOME INSUBSTANTIAL LIGHT TRAINS!
Vivid Sydney is upon us! (Or, upon those in Sydney, at least.) Here for more down-under awesomeness!
I’ve heard Montreal is nice this time of year. Wish I could be there right now to try out this interactive exhibit. Lighting can make immobile objects seem…scary, magical, strange…
This is what I want for Seattle’s “dinosaurs” on the waterfront!!!!! Ours won’t look like origami cranes like these do, but gosh, we have these incredible statues just standing there at night, waiting to be lit creatively. Who do I have to talk to for this to happen???
Props to Skira for this project in Pula, Croatia. More here.
